I Got On A Bus
I went to Glasgow to see a friend this week. I caught the number 37 bus into Edinburgh and noticed this advert on the bus side when I got off...

There was an advert on the rear panel as well, but the bus got away before I could photograph it. I arrived at the train station and went through the trypraying ticket barriers at Waverley.

I saw trypraying posters in several train compartments.

I arrived at Glasgow Queens Street and met my friend Dez Johnson who works with Alpha in Scotland (- he's the one with the beard). We had a coffee in front of the trypraying ticket barriers in the station.

I then went into George Square and saw trypraying adverts on bus sides...

When I came back I saw a banner on a church.

The strap line is, 'It could change your life'. So I gave a trypraying booklet to someone I was chatting with.
I said, 'Hey, let me show you this booklet. It's for people who are not religious....'
'That's cool,' she said and promised to read it.
Churches
Scores and scores of churches have been ordering materials in the last month to use in the run up to Easter. Several places are using it after Easter and, of course, trypraying is current all year round. The project in North Devon is getting underway soon and the project in Exeter has gathered momentum this year. There is engagement with trypraying in towns and cities across the UK (but not everywhere).
In the USA there are exciting developments in Texas, Florida and Washington. The 'beachhead' project in Longmont has had four successive years. Many are seeing the link with other evangelism initiatives like Alpha. It is being seen as both a 'before Alpha' activity as well as Alpha being a 'post trypraying' activity.

Why do we do all this? Because people need to put their faith in Jesus Christ who mends broken lives and gives hope. We are praying for many people to experience that this year.
