Prayer Connection July 9 - 15

Prayer Connection

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is reproach to any people.
-Proverbs 14:34 (ESV)

Sunday, July 9
This past Sunday, my pastor rightly pointed out that 2 Chronicles 7:14 (which talks about people humbling themselves and praying for healing for their land) is specifically written for Israel when the nation had been decimated multiple times. However, we can still pray this principle for our own nation. We should know, though, that after every revival, often a time of conflict or despair happens. Are we ready for that if we pray those prayers?

Monday, July 10
Pray for three new families settling into life and ministry in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Pray as they adjust to the culture and new surroundings. Pray for God’s grace, comfort and strength.

Tuesday, July 11
Pray with those who are planning MAF’s return to Haiti. Pray for the working groups who are considering aspects of life and service there. Pray for wisdom and divine leading in their decisions.

Wednesday, July 12
Pray for James and Rebekah Snyder, missionaries to Haiti who have been evacuated from the country with the rest of the MAF team. The Snyders will remain in Florida where they are on loan to Missionary Flights International (MFI). While they long to be in Haiti, the Snyders believe it is no coincidence that MFI needed a maintenance specialist during this time.

Thursday, July 13
Pray for those throughout MAF who guide candidates into finding their calling in life or into a role with MAF. Pray for wisdom and discernment and good communication. Pray for those who train new candidates, also.

Friday, July 14
Pray for Marcos and Maddison Souza, who are serving in Ecuador. Praise God for Marcos’ recent safe travels to Dubai and good opportunities to learn. Pray for the Ecuador program as they transition back to being part of MAF US and that God’s Kingdom would be advanced through the work here.

Saturday, July 15
Continue to lift up Ryan and Annabel Koher as they continue to wait on the outcome of the case against Ryan and the two South Africans. His attorney is in regular contact with officials overseeing the investigation and continues to work towards a resolution of the case.
