Sports Plus 2023
Pray for Sports Plus as the first week starts today in Perth. Pray that as young people and leaders hear gospel truth that all would respond to King Jesus and put their trust in Him. Pray that leaders would trust in God’s sovereign rule and take opportunities to share the Good News with young people this summer.
Monday, 10th July
Ammanford Network Gathering
Pray for the Ammanford Local Network gathering this evening. Pray that the gathering would encourage Christian sportspeople in London as they gather to pray and together look to share the good news of Jesus with their sports friends.
Tuesday, 11th July
Sports Plus Perth Main Meetings
Pray that the teaching in Luke in the Evening Meeting and Colossians in the Morning Meeting would be faithful, understood and applied by every young person. Pray that the practical elements (tech, music, games etc) of the morning and evening meetings would combine effectively to create an atmosphere in which God is glorified.
Wednesday, 12th July
Sports Plus Perth Sports Programme & Coaching
Pray that young people and coaches would develop good relationships as the week goes on. Pray that young people would enjoy the training programmes, develop in their sport, and play as worship to God. Pray for great fun and enjoyment of God’s good gifts during Team Challenge each day.
Thursday, 13th July
Partners
Thank God for providing financially for our work through many generous partners. Give thanks for His faithfulness in providing what we need. Pray we will continue to steward wisely all that we are given and trust in our Heavenly Father to provide.
Friday, 14th July
Sports Plus Perth
Give thanks for Sports Plus Perth as it finishes today. Pray that leaders and young people would leave the week feeling encouraged to live and speak for Jesus in their own world of sport.
Saturday, 15th July
Elite Tennis
As the Wimbledon finals are played this weekend, continue to pray for Christian players, coaches and officials involved in the top level of tennis. Give thanks for the regular online Bible study run for elite tennis players and pray that we can continue to find good times for players to meet online as they train and compete away from home across many different time zones.
