Sunday, 16th July
Operations
Pray for the Operations Team who work to practically support the mission on the ground. Pray that the team would continue to share best practices in all areas of work from event administration to accounting as they serve the mission of reaching the world of sport for Christ.

Monday, 17th July
Ask Christians in Sport
Pray for our recently published blog addressing Christianity and combat sports. Pray that the article is helpful for people thinking through participation in combat sports from a biblical perspective, and pray that the AskCIS series continues to help Christian sportspeople think through relevant questions.

Tuesday, 18th July
European Christian Sports Union (ECSU)
Pray for preparations that are underway for the biannual ECSU Gathering when around 300 people from across Europe will meet in November. Pray the Gathering would be encouraging and a brilliant opportunity for fellowship particularly as it is the first planned since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Wednesday, 19th July
Prenton Golf Club meal
Give thanks for the opportunity to host a meal for golfers and friends this evening at Prenton Golf Club during the week of The Open Championship in Liverpool. Pray for Ian Lancaster as he interviews Ali Nicholas, on her professional golfing career and Christian faith, with opportunity for Q&A afterwards.

Thursday, 20th July
Women’s elite football
As the FIFA Women’s World Cup starts today, pray for Christian players, coaches and officials involved in the tournament. Pray that they would know their identity is secure in Christ as they experience the highs and lows of competition at the highest level.

Friday, 21st July
Game Day
Give thanks for the weekly devotional, ‘Game Day.’ Pray that God would use the current series in Matthew 7 on living as a disciple of Jesus in sport, to encourage sportspeople in their faith as they prepare to train or compete.

Saturday, 22nd July
Elite Cycling
As the Men’s Tour de France finishes and the Tour de France Femmes starts tomorrow, pray for God to raise up more Christians in the world of Men’s and Women’s Professional Cycling. Pray that Christians in Sport might be able to connect with and support them.
