For the 23rd day of Advent, an Aberdeen minister performs seasonal tunes on her trumpet.

Rev Shuna Dicks of Cults Parish Church in Aberdeen was accompanied by Hazel Mair, the congregation's musical director.

The minister said: "As a brass player, December is packed with Christmas carols and tunes.

"I play in two bands - Aberdeen Concert Band on trumpet and Keith Silver Band on Flugelhorn.

"Both are great fun and key to me finding time out to enjoy something outside ministry.

"The Keith band have known me since I was nine years old so it is one place that I know that I can be Shuna the brass player and not the minister.

"It is definitely good for keeping me grounded."
