A quiet day on Monday which I took off in lieu of last Saturday, lost to weddings. Yesterday saw the Strawberry Tea at Barry - a friendly event enjoying local strawberries and tea and coffee - not a big crowd with many away for holidays, but more than £120 raised for the Church. Well done everyone for all the hard work!
Later on I was talking to someone from Carnoustie Church who hasn't been at church for a few Sundays. He was struggling to get back on his feet, and a bit worried about the steps into Barry. However, our new ramp should mean that access is straightforward for him and for anyone coming in wheelchairs or with prams: he's hoping to join us this week.
Rhona has been in touch by mobile phone and by email, so I've heard that the trip to Uganda is going very well and the High School students have been enjoying themselves while working hard at the orphanage last week. I'm trying to keep up with the housework while she's away...
